Digging deep, scaling up
and looking beyond
ICOS - the Integrated Carbon Observation System - is a European-wide network of nearly 180 stations, delivering high-quality and high-precision data on greenhouse gas concentrations and carbon fluxes.
Within this network, ICOS Belgium contributes with 12 measuring stations, covering all three domains – terrestrial, ocean, and atmospheric – and representing a wide range of ecosystems in Belgium and abroad.
The ICOS Belgium Science Conference 2025 aims to bring together researchers, data users, and policymakers for a day of inspiring exchange and discussion.
We will dig deep into the work and research conducted at the Belgian ICOS sites, from measurements to key insights. We will scale up by exploring the role of ICOS data in models and remote sensing products, bridging the gap between site-level data and large-scale applications. Finally, we will look beyond by investigating new collaborations with other research fields, industry partners, and policy actors.
